We are seeking qualified Senior Managers to join the Business Valuation practice: Our business valuation team performs valuations of business entities, intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock and other securities along with partnership interests, private debt instruments, options, warrants, and other derivative products. These services are provided to assist clients with mergers, acquisitions and dispositions; taxation planning and compliance; financial reporting; bankruptcy and reorganization; litigation and dispute resolution; and strategic planning. Consistent with our goal of becoming a trusted business advisor, we believe that the engagement consultation process needs to actively involve our clients. We bring a team of seasoned industry and technical specialists who are committed to providing responsive service. We provide valuation services to assist in the following areas:Business Combinations (SFAS 141, IRC section 1060)Business Financial ModelingConsolidation of Variable Interest Entities (FIN 46)Federal TaxFinancial Instrument ValuationGoodwill and Other Intangible Assets (SFAS 142)Guarantor's Accounting and Disclosure Requirements for Guarantees (FIN 45)Impairment or Disposal of Long-Lived Assets (SFAS 144)International TaxPersonal taxSFAS 123R/Equity Incentive Award (includes valuation of privately-held-company equity securities issued as compensation)Shareholder value optimizationState/Local TaxThe Business Valuation Services Senior Manager job responsibilities may include: - Effectively evaluate issues and appropriately delegate tasks to managers and staff; demonstrate proper planning and supervision control - Manage multiple business enterprise and intangible valuation engagements simultaneously - Perform complete analysis of accounting, finance, economic issues in the context of business enterprise and intangible asset valuation; provide recommendations where applicable - Prepare and execute detailed work plans - Prepare high quality client deliverables - Assume full responsibility for quality control and accuracy of client deliverables - Independently perform complex research engagements and write professional-level reports summarizing facts, findings, and conclusions - Analyze financial statements, statistical models, and various other business documents - Excellent writing skills and preparation of final draft deliverables on business enterprise and intangible asset valuation engagements - Balance multiple client engagements and other responsibilities - Communicate effectively to all levels of engagement management - Coach, mentor, and counsel staff - Manage project teams averaging 3-10 personnel - Market services to new and existing clients, implement marketing and targeting strategies - Research market issues and identify market opportunities - Lead internal initiatives and practice management engagements - Build internal (cross-functional) and external relationships, originate, and manage established revenue targets - Leverage existing client base and relationships to create market opportunities - Perform reviews of third party appraisals for audit support purposes - Effectively manage risk associated with engagementsBusiness Valuation Services Senior Managers will possess the following qualifications: - 8-10+ years of technical and financial advisory related experience within business enterprise and intangible asset valuation - Established practice and market eminence in a key industry, service area and/or client base - Demonstrated technical excellence, ability to lead and manage significant client engagements - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - Must be flexible with the potential travel requirements of client service engagements - Experience in a professional services firm required - Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral - A strong finance, accounting, and/or economics background required - Bachelors required; Masters in Finance preferred; CFA, ASA, and/or CPA a plusAbout DeloitteDeloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
