- Edmonton Career Fair 2008Edmonton, Alberta — October 23, 2008 — ARC Business Solutions Inc. (ARC) participated in its first career fair in Edmonton. The Careerdoor 'IT/Technology Career Fair' took place at the Shaw Conference Centre on Thursday October 23rd. The conference was targeted to information technology people and was attended by a variety of public and private sector firms including the Government of Alberta and Alberta Blue Cross.ARC had a well-staffed and eye-catching booth which welcomed a cross-section of individuals seeking work in the IT field. ARC's people met with 165 candidates at the fair that traversed a wide variety of roles including Oracle PL/SQL, ECM, SAP, Infrastructure, PMs, BAs, Architects and Management Consultants.As Kezia Haynes, ARC's Recruitment Specialist, commented: 'Of the 600 people anticipated to attend, we were on the one hand disappointed; however, quantity aside, of the 165 people we did meet there was a high degree of quality. We look forward to conducting more detailed interviews in the coming weeks.'
